I heart NYC pride

I missed so much of pride this year due to a vicious cold. Still, I managed to get a few shots of some amazing marchers.

Mermaid Parade

Here is my lovely wife after surviving the crowd at Coney Island. Totally worth the mild panic attack (hers) to see what may well be the last Mermaid Parade. The bottom pic proves how worth it this parade really is... We had a lot of fun with our buds Sia an Emily ogling and cheering the participants. We also managed a ride on the Break Dancer and a viewing of the Freak Show, both highly recommended. I tried to get a pic of Sia n Emily but I'm not used to this camera and shot some really bad video of them deleted it and didn't shoot them again. My bad.

New pics - cat colony intros and gang bang

I took a few shots of the yard yesterday. You can see it still has a lot of work left. We have 7 Tomato plants that are doing really great. They went in early before our move and established themselves well. Last weekend I put in some Cucumbers, Eggplant and Peppers. I also planted some bulbs of Astilibe, Hosta, Liatris, Gladiolas, Elephant Ear and Clematis. For seeds I put down Alyssum, Bachelor Buttons, Cosmos, Morning Glories, Moonflowers and Bunny Tails.

I did start getting a few pics of the cats that make up the local colony. I've been naming them but, at some point this will be a little difficult as there are quite a few that have the solid black/brown fur. Also, the little black and white starring in the gang bang is yet to be named I'll try to get a better photo of her to identify her markings. Last week I observed two males mating together. Hopefully I can get some shots of that as I found it really amazing since they did it face to face.

Growing in Sunset Park

I've decided to start a blog about my adventures in gardening. My wife and I moved to Sunset Park a month ago and have a small yard. Some interesting features are an abandoned bath tub and the local cat colony. Pics to come soon...
